DIT Access Service

‌‌Information for Current Students

During term time, the Aungier Street, Bolton Street  & Grangegorman Student Services Centres are open daily, providing the following services:

  • Issuing ID cards
  • Stamping of forms
  • Letters confirming registrations and fees paid
  • Payments/Fees/Grants
  • General registrations queries

Opening hours are Monday - Thursday: 9am to 5pm and Friday: 9am to 4pm.

You will find the Students' Service Centre in Aungier Street beside Café Java (Ground Floor), in Bolton Street in Room 319 (Level 3), or in Grangegorman in the main lobby of Rathdown House.

  

Student Assistance Funds  

Access Students can avail of ONLY ONE of three assistance funds:

1) Access SAF - 

  • this is only available to Access Students and we encourage all Access students to apply for it.
  • It is awarded on a first come first served basis and students will be assessed based on the information provided in the application form.
  • Students who submit incomplete applications will be deemed ineligible and forms will be returned.
  • 2nd-5th year students must supply either a letter from SUSI stating they are in receipt of a grant OR if not in reciep t of a grant students must submit financial documentation.

Access SAF is first come first served and rapidly approaching the maximum number of applications that can be received, if you are going to apply, please do so as soon as possible.

Please read the page 1 and 2 carefully before submitting the completed form. The fund is administered on a first come, first served basis. Incomplete forms will be deemed ineligible and will be returned to the student. 

Applications must be posted to: DIT Access Service, Rathdown House, Grangegorman Lower, Dublin 7

There is no closing date, applications will continue to be accepted until the fund is expended.

2) General SAF - 2017 form not available until September 2017

Students who are not paid Access SAF can apply to the general SAF scheme.

Grinds

NOTE: If you are seeking grinds in MATHS or QUANTS, please attend the DIT Student Maths Learning Centre.  You can see the times the Centre in open here: http://www.maths.dit.ie/mlsc/  The DIT Access Office does not provide grinds in Maths and Quants, as these are already offered free-of-charge to DIT Students.

For assistance in all other subjects, you must complete an online Grinds Request Form.  Please look at the Academic Supports tab on the right hand side for further details about how to submit a request for free weekly grinds with the DIT Access Service.
