My current research is focused on international relations and foreign policy.
I am very interested in hearing from students who are considering doing doctoral research in any of the following areas: Brexit, EU integration, EU foreign policy, political communications, US-Russian relations, security and strategy, Russian foreign policy, EU-Russia relations, diplomacy and trade relations, models of ‘community’ (ASEAN and EU for example), and models of diplomacy. However, if you are doing research in any other field that connects to the fields of international relations and foreign policy, I am also interested in hearing from you and your research idea.
I lecture in Communications and EU Affairs in the College of Business at postgraduate and undergraduate levels. I also supervise dissertation students at postgraduate level. I have taught on international relations and the media, on international mediation and diplomacy, and on EU institutions in higher educational institutions in Belgium and in Ireland.
