Róisín is a lecturer in Digital Marketing in the School of Marketing, DIT where she teaches at undergraduate, masters, and executive education levels. She supervises undergraduate, post graduate and PhD research projects. Her research interests revolve around retail and services web adoption and innovation, business-to-business relationships operating in web based channels, including digital service and network (two-sided & multi-sided) based platforms. Her current research project examines the Technology Readiness 2.0 and Value Co Creation measurement indexes in diverse service contexts. This large-scale multi-cultural research project is in collaboration with Liverpool University (UK), Texas State University (USA), and Hanyang University (South Korea).

Róisin’s research has been presented at leading, national, European and international conferences and published in a leading academic journal and text books. She is actively involved in the research community where she is currently a member of, and paper reviewer for, EMAC, AMA, and AMS. She has also held track chair roles and participated in roundtable discussions & seminars at EMAC, EIRASS, UL and Fordham University.

Prior to joining DIT, Róisín was Assistant Professor in the Michael Smurfit Business School, UCD. Throughout her time in UCD she has held a number of school contributory roles including Director of the MSc Digital Marketing, she was the Marketing subject-area representative for the Teaching and Learning Committee as well as a member of the doctoral studies panel and internal examiner.

Róisín has provided consultancy work in a digital marketing capacity to start-up firms and was hired as a subject-matter expert to review all online content for McGraw-Hill Education's digital learning solutions product, LearnSmart Advantagefor Jobber, D, & Ellis-Chadwick, F., (2013), Principles and Practice of Marketing, 7e.  

Before commencing her academic career Róisín worked as a digital marketing manager for one of Ireland’s leading online retail gift companies where she planned, implemented and managed online marketing strategies and campaigns as well as the launch and management of key affiliate partner micro sites, including the Irish Times readersoffers.ie, the Irish Independent micro site –independentshopping.ie, Tayto, and Aerarann.
