Theme: Chemistry in Context 

ChemEd Ireland is being held at Dublin Institute of Technology Kevin St on Saturday October 11th, 2014. 

The 33rd Chem-Ed Ireland Conference returns to Dublin on Saturday October 11th from 9.30 am to 4pm at Dublin Institute of Technology Kevin St. Campus (5 minutes walk from St. Stephen's Green). This annual event provides an opportunity to share resources and ideas relevant to teaching chemistry and science in Ireland. It features both presentations and workshops on topics that include; Junior Cycle for Teachers CPD, effective hands-on laboratory demonstrations, new chemistry teaching resources, applications of chemistry research and applying technology to enhance teaching and learning.

There is no visitor parking available at DIT Kevin St. On-street parking costs €2.60 per hour but payment can only be made for 3 hours duration at a time. Parking is also available in the Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre Car Park, and it is possible to validate your ticket at the entrance to DIT Kevin St (beside the porter’s desk inside the main entrance). The cost for a day with a validated ticket is €7. Another option is to prebook parking in this car park online for €12.50 (9am to 6pm). (see )
