Kevin St Room Guide 

Request Equipment 

The Kevin Street campus is divided into 4 sites: the Main Building, Annex, Church Lane, and the Focas Research Centre. Most rooms in the Main Building and Annex have audio and projection equipment installed with connectivity for PC laptops available. All staff are asked to provide their own VGA cable for personal use in rooms where no built in cable exists, and Mac users must provide their own personal VGA adaptor to use any in-classroom technology. Large lecture theatres in the Main Building have in-room computers. Interactive Whiteboards and AV trolleys are available in select multimedia teaching spaces. Specialized Chemistry, Biology, and Engineering labs have plasma screen and wireless microphones systems installed. Additional projectors, PA systems, audio recorders, laptops, DVD/VHS players, and cameras are available on request by staff for short term loan use. Please submit a booking form to to make a reservation.

Gleeson Hall 

Gleeson Hall Theatre is a special purpose large theatre space perfect for special events, concerts, large lectures, and exams equipped with projector, large scale PA, soundbooth, theatre lighting, podium, and wireless microphones. Bookings for Gleeson Hall are made through Ronan Grant. A calendar of scheduled events is available online


The Boardroom is a large meeting space with projector, podium, drop down screen, video conferencing, and computing facilities most commonly used for interviews, Ph.D presentations/exams, and department meetings. Desks and chairs in the room are modular and can be reconfigured to suit as needed. Bookings are made through Kevin St College Managers office, and a calendar of scheduled events is available online

Blue Room

The "Blue Room" is a medium sized specialised meeting space located adjacent to the staff canteen on the 4th floor of Kevin Street main building. This room contains a projector, drop down screen, PC connectivity, large round table desk with chairs, and a laptop shelf for presentations. Bookings are made through Kevin St College Managers office.


Camden Row (Focas Institute) is located at 13 Camden Row, immediately to the rear of the Kevin Street main building. There is no car park, but on-street pay and display parking is available nearby. The facility is primarily research focused but also includes a Seminar Room and two Meeting Rooms available to staff. The seminar room has an overhead projection system, and both meeting rooms have wide-screen wall mounted HD screens. All rooms have connectivity for a laptop via VGA. Polycom audio conference units are available in the meeting rooms.

Seminar Room

Camden Row’s Seminar Room is a general multi-purpose space suitable to conferences, large lectures, and events. Chairs are not fixed, and the room can be configured to suit an event presented from the front or an open space for conferences or social-orientated events. The seminar room is equipped with an overhead projector and pull-down screen, portable PA equipment with boom fixed and wireless microphones, network connectivity, and wi-fi access. Users must bring their own laptop equipment. Bookings for Camden Row Semiar Room can be made online.

Meeting Rooms

Camden Row has two meeting rooms, each with a seating capacity of 12 people around a large table. Each room is equipped with a 60 inch wall-mounted Sharp Aquos LED display with VGA connectivity for a laptop. Users must bring their own laptop equipment. Network connectivity, wi-fi, and Polycom audio conference units with international access are available in each meeting room. Bookings for Camden Row’s meeting rooms can be made online.
