The Rathmines College Campus comprises of two sites; Rathmines Road and Chatham Row. It is home to the Conservatory of Music & Drama. There are a small number of rooms with audio and projection together with a PC and podium. An Interactive Whiteboard is available in Room 1.18. Some rooms have additional connectivity for PC laptops. Mac users must provide their own personal VGA adaptor to use in-classroom technology. If using a Laptop/Macbook please return cables as you found them. Please consult the Rathmines College Room Guide to find out what equipment is installed in a specific classroom.
Unique to the Conservatory all rooms also have a Piano and are used as Practice Rooms when free; additionally, there is also a Music Technology Lab with thirteen Apple iMacs open for both staff and student to use.
Additional projectors, PA systems, audio recorders, laptops, DVD/VHS players, and cameras are availableon request by staff for short term loan use. Please submit a booking form to Support@DIT.ie to make a reservation.
Rathmines College also has spaces for conferences and events:
Boardroom
The Boardroom has a projector, laptop and screen. It is most commonly used for interviews, presentations and College meetings. Bookings are made through College of Arts & Tourism Managers office.
Performance Areas
There are two main Performance Areas; The Theatre (Rathmines) and McCann Hall (Chatham Row). Both are used for Performances, Plays, Recitals, Classes and Meetings. Both have a Projector without a Podium PC. The use of a Laptop/MacBook is required in these areas.
