NUJ appoints DIT lecturer to Ethics Council

28 September 2003

The National Union of Journalists has appointed Michael Foley as vice-chair of its Ethics Council. The Ethics Council has responsibility for drawing up guidelines for journalists working in Britain and Ireland and it also polices the NUJ's code of conduct. Last year Michael, who is a lecturer in journalism in DIT's School of Media, was invited by the International Federation of Journalists to work with local journalists in Macedonia to draw up a code of conduct for journalists in that country.
