DIT Societies Bucket Day Collection in aid of Teenline Ireland

27th February 2009

DIT Societies Bucket Day Collection

This Saturday 28th February 100 students from the DIT will showcase their talents in the Dundrum Town Centre while collecting money for Teenline Ireland, the non-judgemental listening agency which is there for young people if they fell alone or sad or even if they just want to chat.

Societies from DIT such as Fashion Soc, Dance Soc, Breakdance Soc, Juggling Soc and DJ soc to name but a few will all be out in the centre all day trying to raise money for Teenline.

The fashion conscious students who also know the value of looking out for each other will give shoppers a sneak preview of the DIT Toyota Fashion Show, the theme of which is "Tribal Expression – the urban theory."

A number of shops in the Dundrum Centre are helping the student designers, stylists and models to get ready for their big day on Wednesday 11th March – the short list for which will be announced here in Dundrum Shopping Centre on Monday 2nd March!!!  So watch out for that too.

If your more sports than fashion conscious, you will enjoy some energetic and impressive dance expression from DIT’s break-dance society who are practising for their own competition on Sunday 8th March in the Laughter Lounge where the legendary L.A. based Zulu Gremlin will make an appearance.

Hope to see you all Saturday, it would be great to get as many bodies as possible out collecting, email ditsocsbucketdaycollection@gmail.com to register your interest in collecting in any of the following shifts, 10to12, 12to3 and 3to6 or alternatively you can make a donation at: www.mycharity.ie/event/dit_toyota_fashion_show_09/.
