DIT Inventor Competition 2010 – Get your inventions in NOW!

Hothouse, the award winning Innovation and Technology Centre at Dublin Institute of Technology is looking for your inventions.  The DIT Inventor Competition is open to all staff and students across the Institute and the prizes worth €2500.  Closing date for entries is 22nd October 2010.

The competition is divided into two categories and a Best Overall Invention Award:

  • Best Staff member, Post Grad and Researcher Invention Award – sponsored by DIT Hothouse €500
  • Best Undergraduate Student Invention Award – sponsored by DIT Hothouse €500
  • Best Overall Invention Award sponsored by Hanna, Moore & Curley - €1,500

To be in with a chance to win and get your hands on some cash, simply email a description of your invention, answering these three questions to hothouse@dit.ie.

  • What have you invented?
  • Where will it be used?
  • What are the advantages?  

Entries will be scored on their originality, benefits, market potential, and development / commercialisation feasibility.  All submissions will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
