In 2010, the Department of Visual Communication at the The School of Art, Design and Printing (DIT) organised the annual conference of ATypI (Association Typographique Internationale), at which DIT students held an exhibited work that included new typefaces and interpretations of Irish language texts, and these attracted international attention. In collaboration with IMRAM, DIT lecturers Clare Bell, Brenda Dermody, Brenda Duggan and Anita Heavey have curated a special exhibition of Irish language literature texts imaginatively rendered by DIT students. This work will utilise both traditional typefaces, dramatic re-workings of classic Gaelic typography used for Irish, as well as exciting non-static installations, screen projections, and digital work.

Poetry and stories selected for the exhibition include work by Alan Titley, Gearóid Mac Lochlainn, Gabriel Rosenstock, Dáithí Ó Muirí, Aifric Mac Aodha and Caitríona Ní Chléirchín. Clare Bell and Brian Dixon have also designed and produced a special booklet to accompany the exhibition.
