DIT students win All-Ireland U21 Football Final

21st May 2012: Six DIT students picked up All-Ireland U21 Football medals, when Dublin defeated Roscommon to win the 2012 All-Ireland U21 Football final in Tullamore last weekend. Dublin were managed and led by former DIT graduate and Dublin Footballer Jim Gavin. This is Jim’s second time delivering an All-Ireland title at this grade for Dublin, having won the competition previous back in 2010.

The students involved all had a busy year juggling their studies with their Football commitments not only with Dublin but also with DIT and their own clubs. The lads met up with DIT College of Business Director Paul O’Sullivan who passed on his congratulations to all the guys on their achievement. DIT also had a representative on the Roscommon team in first year Donal Keane studying Culinary Arts in Cathal Brugha Street.
