DIT graduate is runner up in CIBSE President’s Prize – Undergraduate Award 2013


30 September 2013: A recent DIT graduate has been named runner up in the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) President’s Prize – Undergraduate Award 2013.

Richard Seaman, who completed his Building Services Engineering degree this year and will graduate with first class honours this autumn, faced a lot of competition for this prize as the award is open to all graduates in building services engineering from colleges in all countries where CIBSE has membership including the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong and Australia.

Richard’s past accolades including winning Engineering Student of the Year while studying at Lucan Community College and being awarded with a Certificate of Distinction in the National Final of the Young Engineer Competition (awarded to students who placed in the top 10 for Ireland for their higher Leaving Certificate engineering project).

Richard is currently studying for a Masters in Energy Systems Engineering in UCD.
