Food for thought to future careers as DIT Baking Society & DIT Nutrition Society host careers talk

09 April, 2014: The DIT Baking Society and DIT Nutrition Society recently came together to organise a Careers Talk.  The event focussed on career paths in the baking and nutrition sectors and industry professionals were invited into DIT to speak about their own experiences, education and career paths. Speakers included Orla Walsh from Orla Walsh Nutrition, Margaret O'Neill from the Health Service Executive, Matthew May from Kerry Group, Shannon Dickson from The Natural Bakery and DIT and Margaret Lynch, Celine Hayes English and Beatriz Morrel from Couverture.

With an attendance of over 50, the event was a huge success and proved a fantastic opportunity for students to hear first-hand what careers in their industry are really like.
