BRUCE PIASECKI TO GIVE GUEST LECTURE IN DIT

Best-selling author and corporate strategist Bruce Piasecki will be in Dublin next week and will visit DIT at Grangegorman to deliver a guest lecture to a seminar on “Innovation and Sustainability”.  Dr. Piasecki is the author of nine books, including his recent publication “Doing More with Less”  and has been serving multinational corporations for 30 years on the topic of corporate governance, sustainability and environmentalism. He has served on Vice President Al Gore’s White House Council on Environmental Technology, and under Governor Mario Cuomo was an advisor/researcher for New York State energy research and development. In 2007, he published World, Inc. in which he presented the revolutionary idea of social response capitalism as the means to an improved world economy that serves both corporations and society which was published in nine languages.

‌Dr. Piasecki’s lecture will be followed by a panel discussion, facilitated by Professor Brian Norton, President of DIT.  Members of the panel will include David Palmer, CEO of Fenestra Pro; Brendan Cleary, PhD researcher at DIT, recently returned from a year as Fulbright Scholar in Columbia University, New York; Professor Stephanie Farrell, US Fulbright Scholar at the College of Engineering and Built Environment, DIT; and Professor Shannon Chance, former US Fulbright Scholar and now Marie Sklodowska-Curie Researcher, hosted at DIT.

Ms Colleen Dube, Fulbright Commission will be in attendance and will address the Seminar on the topic of Fulbright opportunities for Irish scholars in the USA in 2015/16.
