DIT Symphony Orchestra & Chamber Brass to stage free performance Nov. 11

The DIT Symphony Orchestra, conducted by David Brophy, will perform Elgar: Serenade for String Orchestra, Op. 20 and Haydn: Symphony No.99 in E-flat major, Hob.I:99. The symphony is the Conservatory’s senior orchestra and consists of third-level and advanced second-level students.
Recent highlights include a National Concert Hall performance of the film music of Nina Rota as part of the Jameson International Film Festival, A Night of American Music at the National Concert Hall, and performances of major symphonic works, such as Berlioz’s ‘Symphonie Fantastique’ and Shostakovich's Symphony no. 10.
This concert also features the DIT Chamber Brass Ensemble conducted by Ian Dakin, performing Se An Tiarna Maoire (Traditional) | Monteverdi: Si ch’Io vorrei morire | Monteverdi: Liebster Jesu, wir sind hier Nehls.
