DIT Irish Traditional Music Ensemble to perform a series of free lunchtime concerts every Monday in February in Rathmines Public Library

Join us for this series of free lunchtime concerts with members of the DIT Irish Traditional Music Ensemble every Monday in February at Rathmines Library. The concerts will feature  some of Ireland’s finest young musical talent studying on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. 

Recent highlights include performances on RTÉ Radio 1’s Céilí House, the Opening Concert of the prestigious Temple Bar TradFest!, collaborative performances with the China Conservatory of Music, the Korean Embassy of Ireland and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco, a live radio and online broadcast for National Music Day with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and tours of Louvain (Belgium), Rome and Savannah, Georgia, USA. 

The ensemble is directed by well-known traditional musicians, Odhrán Ó Casaide, Kieran Hanrahan and Tom Doorley, all of whom you might catch performing in the lunchtime concerts.
