DIT students – have your say - Survey of Student Engagement 2015

This year DIT along with all the higher education institutions in Ireland will participate in the Survey of Student Engagement 2015.  For students in DIT, the survey will be open from the 09 February 2015 and will remain open for a three-week period. Students from first and final year undergraduate programmes and all postgraduate taught programmes will receive an individual email invitation to participate.‌

The Student Survey is an important tool for students to share their views.  The higher education system in Ireland wants to listen to students about their experiences of higher education.  Students have a major contribution to make in influencing the design of curricula, and in reviewing and providing feedback on their experience of college.

Details about the 2015 survey are available at  also available is the second 2014 Irish Survey of Student Engagement (ISSE) report. This report reflects the emerging picture of effective feedback and uses of ISSE data and is intended to support sharing of effective practice between institutions. The report is available in electronic format at

Speaking on DIT’s participation in the National Student Survey, Dr. Rachel O’Connor, DIT Student Services said:  “DIT is really encouraging our students to participate in the survey.  The data from this survey provides invaluable data to the DIT student experience and will feed into how things are done in the future”.
