According to the organising committee, “Civilizations have developed across the world in near seclusion for thousands of years. Stories from far away places developed mythology and fear of the unknown. Now you do not have to leave the safety of your own city to experience a taste of a completely different culture. Where beliefs and traditions might have seemed alien and strange in the past, societies are waking up to new concepts, adopting them and mixing them with their own to create a hybrid of cultures that are unique to everyone. With this arrives a stimulating array of new patterns, exotic colour palettes and symbolism. We ask you to join us as we explore our theme of "Cultural Fusion” through the outfits and student designers' interpretation of the theme with designers from across the country at the Vodafone DIT Fashion Show 2015.”
Celebrity judges this year include Umut Kutluk, Brendan Courtney, Maria Fusco, Bairbre Power, Lou Conlon and Jules Fallon
Vodafone Ireland are once again the title sponsor of the Fashion Show, which provides a once in a lifetime opportunity for young student designers to showcase their talent. Spin 1038, The Style Club and Makeup Forever also sponsor the show.
