DIT Irish Traditional Music Ensemble to perform at first international game music festival in Dublin!

Posted: 26 March, 2015

On Friday 3 April (5pm), the DIT Irish Traditional Music Ensemble will perform at the iDig Music Festival, the first international game music festival ever held in Dublin.

The ensemble members, students and staff of DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, are busy arranging and rehearsing Irish versions of popular game music anthems, and the excitement is building for the performance.

The 3-day festival runs from 2-4 April at the Dublin Convention Centre and is packed full of concerts, talks, roundtables, and incredible guests from the game music industry. Eimear Noone, a leading international game music conductor, is one of the main drivers in the bringing the Festival to Ireland. Eimear's early music training involved studying flute at DIT Conservatory.
