DIT wins Cricket Intervarsity for first time

Congratulations to the DIT cricket team who won the Intervarsity Cricket Final at Trinity College Dublin today by 7 wickets

The summary score is as follows:

  • UCC 99 all out 34 overs (Chris Banon 32, Jack Balbirnie 4/20, Paul Lawson 3/11, Brian Mullen 3/24)
  • DIT 100/3 20.3 overs (Michael Hogan 57*, Michael Cotter 18, Robin Russell 16, Noel Cronin 1/12, Denny David 1/25)

This is the first time DIT has reached the final in the competition.  The team beat Trinity in yesterday’s match to secure their place in the final.
