`The Reggio Emilia Approach to Education` Experiences in DialoguePosted: 18 September, 2015
`The Reggio Emilia Approach to Education` Experiences in Dialogue on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th Sept 2015.
`The Reggio Emilia Approach to Education` Experiences in Dialogue is a one and a half day seminar which will be of interest to professionals who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the approach to early childhood care and education in the infant toddler centres and preschools of Reggio Emilia Italy.
We are delighted to welcome Amelia Gambetti and Emanuela Vercalli, Reggio Children International Network Co-chairs to share with an Irish audience the values and principles of the Reggio approach to early childhood education. This professional development opportunity will: inspire, provoke and offer opportunities for dialogue to consider quality early childhood experiences for young children in the Irish context.
The setting, St. Laurence`s church DIT Grange Gorman Campus is the ideal location for this inspiring seminar. The campus with its many protected buildings dating from the nineteenth century or before is of historical, cultural and social significance. The careful development of this new urban quarter which will bring social and economic regeneration to Dublin`s north inner city has many similarities with the Loris Malaguzzi International centre in Reggio which is described as a dedicated meeting place where professional development and research intersect, which become “the catalyst and symbol of the transformation of the city’s north side”.
The times of the seminars over the 2 days are as follows:
Friday 25th September: 2-6.30pm (registration is from 1-2 pm)
Saturday 26th September: 9.30am – 4.30pm (registration is from 8.30 – 9.30 am)
Early Childhood Ireland and DIT are delighted to invite you to attend this inspiring seminar and you can make your booking online.
