Universal Design in Education – conference

A two-day conference for education professionals will take place in Dublin Castle on 12-13 November.

The theme of the conference is “Education Across the Continuum: Innovating through Universal Designand keynote speakers will include:

  • Lord David Puttnam
  • Prof. Jeremy Myerson (RCA)
  • Prof. David Rose (CAST)
  • Prof. Hubert Froyen (Hasselt University)

The programme for the conference includes panel discussions with representatives from industry and education; workshops, both practical and responses to papers delivered; and exhibitions of work by previous winners of student and graduate Universal Design Awards.   The event also features a 24-hour Universal Design Hackathon!

The conference is organised under the auspices of the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design and the National Disability Authority.  Partners include the three members of the TU4Dublin alliance, DCU, NSAI, ID2015, and Ahead.
