Gaelic 4 GirlsPosted: 14 December, 2015
Another very successful Gaelic 4 Girls programme came to an end on Thursday night just in time for Christmas.
Over twenty local primary school girls took part in the project that is run with DIT, Dublin City Council and the Ladies Gaelic Football Association and in total there were eight DIT students who qualified as children’s referees and coaches.
G4G is a 12 week programme incorporating coaching sessions with fun non-competitive blitzes aimed at increasing participation in Ladies Gaelic Football. The programme targets girls aged between 8-12 years who are not currently registered with a Ladies Gaelic Football club.
