DIT Drama Students Take on The Hostage by Brendan Behan
Posted: 4 February, 2016The Hostage, written by Brendan Behan in the mid-twentieth century, has proved itself to be a touchstone for contemporary theatre.

The graduating drama class of DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama are proud to present this energetic, thought-provoking play this March 2nd - 5th in the Samuel Beckett Theatre, Trinity College Dublin.
The play tells the story of a young British soldier, who is taken hostage by the IRA and held in a Dublin brothel. The hullabaloo of the brothel, the singing, dancing and carrying on provides the context for this deeply provocative debate around republicanism, nationalism, and (in the end) the meaning of life itself.
