University of Parma attend 10th DIT Retail Management symposium

The 10th annual College of Business MBS Retail Management Symposium took place in DIT recently and among the international participants was a group of students and their Professors from the University of Parma in Italy (pictured here).

The focus for this year’s Symposium, which is organised by the School of Retail and Services Management in DIT, was Innovation and Creativity in Retailing.  Dr. Ed O’Callaghan said “There is a growing need for retailers to develop creative solutions through innovation to address changes in an increasingly disrupted retail marketplace.  This year’s very successful symposium was host to an eclectic mix of views, from Retailer CEO’s, Senior Managers & Innovation specialists.”

The programme of speakers included a wide range of experts from the ERSI, KBC Bank, Acuity ETS, Kantar World Panel, BWG Group, Butler’s Chocolates, 180 degrees Retail Consultants, Applegreen, The Local Data Company & The Guinness Partnership.
