DIT Hothouse to host free half day Commercialisation workshop March 16
Posted: 10 March, 2016DIT Hothouse is holding a free half day Commercialisation workshop for all researchers, staff, students of DIT on Wednesday 16th March.

Workshop: Commercialising Technologies - From Collaborations to Technology Transfer
Venue: The Courtyard, DIT Aungier St, Dublin 2 (ground floor, opposite Grumpy Mule cafe)
Date: Wednesday, 16th March 2016
Time: 9.00am - 12.30pm
The workshop is also open to staff and students of IT Blanchardstown, IT Tallaght, IADT Dun Laoghaire and National College of Ireland.
The course will be of relevance to staff, students and researchers that have engaged in collaborative projects with industry or those with an interest in doing so in the future. The key elements of this workshop are as follows:
- Managing IP in collaborative projects
The course will begin by highlighting the need to carefully manage IP created in collaborative projects, such as Horizon 2020 and other research consortia, so that the creators secure sufficient scope to take the IP forward to commercialisation.
