DIT graduates get together in ChicagoPosted: 7 June, 2016
DIT graduates were invited to a reception in IDA Ireland offices in downtown Chicago last month, to coincide with the visit of a DIT delegation returning from the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Purdue University, Indiana.
Led by the President of DIT, Professor Brian Norton, the delegation included colleagues from the Colleges of Business, Engineering & Built Environment, Sciences & Health, and Arts & Tourism. Colleagues from Purdue also travelled to Chicago for the event.
More than sixty graduates attended the reception, representing a wide range of disciplines and generations. In his address, Professor Norton gave an overview of developments in DIT currently, including an update on the development of the Grangegorman campus and progress towards designation as a Technological University.
The Guest of Honour for the reception was Ireland’s Consul General in Chicago, Ms Orla McBreen, and host for the event was Patrick Gaule, Vice President at IDA Ireland Chicago, and a DIT graduate in Business to Business Marketing.
