DIT Hothouse Alumnus wins Irish Times Innovation Award

DIT Hothouse would like to congratulate New Frontiers Alumnus, Dublin Design Studio, for winning the prestigious Irish Times Innovation Award for Creative Industries 2016.

The company, founded by David Craig, participated in DIT Hothouse’s New Frontiers programme for high potential start-ups in 2015.

Dublin Design Studio’s first product, Scriba, is a completely new type of smart stylus made for mobile devices. Scriba's dynamic design and it’s highly responsive "Squeeze Motion" technology equips the user with enhanced control and a more fluid creative experience. Scriba has a stand by battery charge of over 6 months making it one of the most reliable styli on the market.

On winning the award David said:

“I am absolutely delighted to have won the Irish Times Innovation Award for Creative Industries Innovation 2016.  The Irish Times hosted a superb event and there was some incredible Irish talent and innovation on show.”

To date the company has been nominated for 11 awards and has been featured in publications such as Wallpaper Magazine, ArchDaily and the Irish Times.
