Engineering students visit Walls Construction site

Posted: 1 December, 2016

DIT students of Civil and Structural Engineering were recently invited to visit the Walls Construction Landings Site on Dublin’s North Wall Quays

Una Beagon, Assistant Head of School, who led a group of 2nd- 4th year students on the site visit, said “Linking theory and practice is a key component of the programmes in Civil and Structural Engineering at DIT.  Students had the opportunity to visit a high profile construction site to experience the atmosphere and dynamics of a live site whilst having all their technical queries answered by the knowledgeable site team.  We are very grateful to the Walls Construction team for a most informative visit.”

The site visit was led by Walls Construction Contracts manager, Rob Fox, assisted by Site Engineer Paul McDermott, Safety Officer Paul McGrath and recent DIT graduate Ciaran McSharry.
