High Hopes Choir launch Studentvolunteer.ie at DIT

Posted: 24 April, 2017

“Volunteers are ordinary people doing extraordinary things”

A new online platform for Student Volunteering will be launched on Wednesday 26th April at an event in DIT Aungier Street.  Organised by DIT Societies and Student Volunteering, the launch will feature a keynote address by Sr. Stanislaus Kennedy and performances by the very popular Dublin High Hopes Choir.

According to Emmet Jordan Kelly, DIT Societies Office, many community groups, charities and NGOs depend on the invaluable contribution of volunteers.

“Studentvolunteer.ie/DIT will make it easy for students to seek and find volunteering opportunities across Dublin, the country and even across the world!  Students will be able to find roles that match their skills and enable them to use their strengths.  In addition to giving their skills, they will also add significantly to their CV and the experience will benefit them in their future careers.”

The launch takes place at 6 pm, Wednesday 26 April, in the Courtyard, DIT Aungier Street.  All are welcome to attend – please RSVP on Eventbrite.ie
