Posted: 16 June, 2017

Robert Blake, a second-year Furniture and Joinery Manufacturing student in the DIT Dublin School of Architecture has been selected to compete for the chance to represent Ireland.

Robert is competing for the chance to represent Ireland at the WorldSkills Competition in October 2017.

Robert took part in the WorldSkills Ireland Cabinet Making competition in December 2016 and his performance was deemed by the judging committee to be of such a high standard that he will now compete against the winner of the national finals in a week-long playoff competition in June 2017. The winner will represent Ireland at the 44th WorldSkills Competition to be held in Abu Dhabi in October 2017.

Congratulations Robert and best of luck from everyone in DIT in next week’s playoff.
