Student feature: A guide to getting your student ID card

Posted: 24 August, 2017

Your student card is an important part of your college life. You need it to access buildings and class rooms on campus, to borrow books from the library and for entry to exam halls.

DIT is running a week long ID card collection event from the 4th to the 8th of September, where you will have your photo taken and be given your card.

It’s worth the Journey….

Collecting your ID card is just a small part of what DIT Fresher’s week is about, it’s always a great week on campus and there’s a real buzz as the new college year starts. We will have music, giveaways, and competitions throughout the week and of course a bit of craic!!

Now that you’re a fully-fledged DIT student we know you are dying to find out about the various societies and sports you can take part in and we have something for everyone. So look out for DIT Sports and Societies reps who will be onsite to give you information on the various clubs and societies you can become a part of.

College life is about so much more than your studies, the friends and memories you make in college will last you a lifetime so don’t be afraid to go out on a limb and join a club or society. Remember, everyone is in the same boat so make the most of your college experience and try something new.

So make sure you join us and enjoy the buzz of your first week in college. #myditlife
