Open House Dublin - DIT Grangegorman,14 October

Posted: 14 September, 2017

Open House Dublin is Ireland’s largest architecture festival, inviting all citizens to explore the city.

It works through a simple but powerful idea: showcasing outstanding architecture for everyone to experience.  Buildings that aren’t usually accessible to the public and buildings of architectural merit open their doors, with architectural tours provided by expert guides.

Once again this year, the DIT campus at Grangegorman will host two Open House events on Saturday 14 October.  The beautiful campus in Dublin’s north inner city is preparing to become home to more than DIT 10,000 students and staff by the end of 2019.  Already 1200 students of creative arts, photography and social sciences are located on the campus in beautifully restored 19th century buildings, while researchers and entrepreneurs are based in the new research and innovation Greenway Hub.

The campus is open every day, with people walking through to school and work, walking their dogs or taking a run, but on Saturday 14th October there is an additional opportunity to visit as part of OPEN HOUSE DUBLIN and to find out more about the future of this fantastic campus:
