DIT graduate Sinead Aherne leads Dublin to victory at All-Ireland Final

DIT graduate Sinead Aherne captained Dublin during its win against Mayo in the All-Ireland Ladies Senior Football Final on Sunday in Croke Park.

DIT College of Business Graduate Sinead Aherne studied Business and Management in DIT and currently works as an accountant with KPMG. Aherne is one of the most acclaimed footballers in Ireland and earlier this year, she was announced as the new Dublin Ladies senior captain and led the team as they beat Mayo in a four-goal win on Sunday. 

Sinead's career achievements to date include a remarkable ten Leinster senior medals, one senior All Ireland and five All-Star Awards. During her college years, Sinead was honoured at the DIT Sports Awards Gala for her achievements with the DIT Ladies Gaelic Football Club and her contribution to campus life at DIT in encouraging student participation in sport.
