The Dublin School of Creative Arts is inviting 6th, 5th and 4th-year students interested in studying subjects such as Fine Art or Design in DIT to visit the Grangegorman campus to meet with staff and students involved in a range of programmes. Applicants will also have the opportunity to bring their portfolio with them for a short consultation, see the facilities on campus and ask any questions they may have in relation to the courses available.
During the Open Day, classes will take place as normal in the studios allowing visitors to get a flavour of the range and variation of everyday learning activities at the Dublin School of Creative Arts. In addition to this, each programme will deliver a morning and an afternoon presentation in the studios. Presentations will vary with each programme, but will include some of the following activities:
- A selection of current students will show and discuss the content of successful first-year entry portfolios,
- recent graduates will make short presentations on their time studying at DIT, and how they have progressed since graduation,
- recent student work, typifying various stages of each programme will be displayed and projected in the studios,
- on-going projects and/or professional work by members of staff will be presented.
