The Ivan Webb Scholarship Foundation was established by the Master Builders’ Contractors Association (MBCA) and the Construction Industry Federation to commemorate the memory of the late Ivan Webb, one of the Irish businessmen killed in the Staines Air Disaster. Ivan Webb was a Council member of both the funding organisations, was President of the MBA in 1953 and President of the CIF in 1956.
The Scholarship is awarded to students of the Construction Technology Diploma course and the Bachelor of Science in Construction Management course, who are recognised by DIT for their outstanding academic performance. A “Back to Education” award is also being presented for the third year running.
