DIT Irish Traditional Music Ensemble
It is with great pleasure that the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama introduces its first collaborate concert with the Defence forces Army No.1 band. The Conservatory is delighted to have Captain Fergal Carroll join its Principal Conductors Ian Dakin and Conor O'Riordan for this “Band Spectacular" concert during which attendees will hear performances from all three ensembles culminating in a mass band performance of 120 musicians.
This inaugural concert takes place on 29 November 2017 with music by Sousa, Rimsky-Korsakov and featuring Bandsman James Middleton in Victor's tale by John Williams. The success of this new venture has been made possible by the continued commitment of our staff and students and the support of the Irish Defence Forces. We hope you will continue to show your support and help us nurture their immense talent.
