Santa's workshop comes to DIT

Posted: 28 November, 2017

The DIT Mature Student Society is hosting a spectacular Christmas Fair on 14 December in Gleeson Hall, DIT Kevin Street to raise funds for the DIT Societies Christmas Charity Appeal. The appeal is in support of Saint Vincent de Paul, Jigsaw and the Irish Underwater Search and Recovery Unit.

Gleeson Hall will transform into Santa’s Workshop and as Santa is visiting from the North Pole for one day only, he is hoping that the children of DIT staff and students would like to help him out in his workshop. Kids will have the chance to make their own snow globes, decorate gingerbread and sing along with Christmas carols. Each child will have their photo taken with the man himself and receive a small keepsake from what promises to be a very special evening.

While adults wait for their kids/ younger siblings to finish the workshops they can browse the Christmas Fair where there will be handmade and donated gifts on sale in aid of all three charities. Entry to Santa’s Grotto is €10 per child or €15 per family (up to three children) and all proceeds will go to the DIT Societies Charity Appeal. Purchase your tickets today on Eventbrite.
