The Fees and Grants department are responsible for the administration of Fees & Grants for all students within DIT.
If you are unsure of your fees or how they are calculated we have outlined some information on this below.
All Programmes offered by the Dublin Institute of Technology are subject to a fee.
The fee charged comprises of the Student Contribution Charge (formerly known as the Student Capitation or Registration Charge) and a Tuition Fee.
The Student Contribution Charge fee is now set at €3,000.
The Tuition fee is determined by a number of factors outlined below, it is worth noting that tuition fees do not normally apply for first time, full-time undergraduate students :
- Type of Programme (Undergraduate - Full time & Part-time, Postgraduate, etc.)
- Level of the Programme (Level 6 - Higher Certificate, Level 7 - Ordinary Degree, Level 8 - Honours Degree, Level 9 - Masters Degree, etc.)
- Whether the programme is Part-time or Whole Time
- Whether you are entering DIT as an EU or Non-EU student
- Eligibility for the free fees initiative
In addition, there may be some other charges relevant to your chosen programme of study.

DIT's registration and student fees policies are designed to ensure that students are not denied access to services while they are awaiting grant applications. All full-time undergraduate students at DIT who have applied for a grant are able to register in full and are given full access to all DIT services including student cards, library access, web courses and email.
If you have applied for a grant you will be able to register online and have instant access to these services. You simply click enter grant details when you reach the payment page and enter your application number and the date you applied for the grant.
