Thomas Power is a graduate of University College Dublin and the Smurfit School of Business (U.C.D.) and the Dublin Institute of Technology. He has over 25 years teaching experience at college/university level and with professional bodies. He is principal author of the text on Financial Management now in its third edition and has worked as a moderator with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland. He has presented papers at international conferences and was a regular contributor to the Property Valuer, a quarterly journal aimed at those in the property profession. He was a recipient of the Dublin Institute of Technology’s President’s award for ‘Excellence in Teaching’ (2003) (individual) and the Faculty of the Built Environment ‘Excellence in Teaching’ award (2007). He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), which is aligned with the UK’s professional standards in third level education. He is also a member of HETAC’s panel of experts.
